White locks are what I love but this is an experiment I have to turn it with some color. Going to make the euc leaves eco prints with iron mordanted.  If it turned to nasty it will be Mogi's blanket for this winter.  Well, have a go now.......

After an hour boiling, it turned out to this look.......

Not that good as I expected.  I wanted the different shades of color but none. 

Still a soft wrap.....

Be it a wrap for my girl ?

Mogi, "ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz, having a dream.......    hmmmmm, so soft"

Or a blanket for my pet? 

Mogi finds it's good for himself in the sun.

Must admit this is not my expection.

Indeed I wanted to achieve the outcome like this shawl developed by Vilte whose works are facinating.  Vilte and Irit will be running workshops in California in Jan for the wild fibre manipulation into nuno felt and eco print.  Can't resist and already signed up for the workshop. You'll see the blogs of Vilte and Irit for their amazing creations.  Can't wait to learn from them the alchemy !

My first nuno felt garment student 我的第一位nuno felt 背心學生

 Making wool felt garment is not that simple.  Quite technical to do the right size, not to mention to teach students to make for their own.

Truly the cost of tutorial is quite steep. I have never offered to give a class.

Today my student WW has the honor (I'm too arrogant !!??) to follow me.

WW is interested so my pleasure to teach her individually in my yard.

做羊毛戟絨衣服要做到合適個人要有技巧, 有點難度, 學費及材料不便宜, 所以不曾應教學生, WW有熱誠想學, 今日就趁好天氣在我家露台利用一個星期天做了這件背心.

WW很聰敏, 她祗是第二次玩羊毛氈工藝便很好的掌握完成, 這個冬天暖暖啊 !

 

 We used the Wensleydale and Gotland fleece. I love the smell of raw fleece.

Wool vest with lace collar 花貓色系羊毛背心

Just received  Gotland and Wensleydale wool fleece from new supplier. Can't wait to experiment the quality.    Another piece of nuno wool felt vest was made with inspirations from Kim, Vilt a la Kim   She made a girl dress with lace.  Also Lizet Frijters  Her wool felt scarves incorporated with vintage doilies are unique.
剛收到新訂的蜷曲羊毛, 急不及待要試試新品質,
 這件 "一件頭"  背心亦是以 nuno felt 技巧製作, 所以 "腰及肩" 都 是無縫的. 領口特點是混以 "花邊哩士", 特顯質感.
 

 I tried this vest with lace for the collar.

The long and curly wool fleece are yummy.

Collar was made with  different lace / doiles, samples free from fabric shop.

Again this vest was made with nuno felt skill.  I scattered some merino wool over the template and put the lace / doilies for collar.  Covered with chiffon.

After all the rubbing, rolling and fulling, here's the outcome of a seamless wool felt vest.

Back look 

Closure of "butterfuly" lace from Belgium, thought it goes with the collar.

It's not too thick.  Quite good for cool autumn days.

Same color tone with Mogi - greyish.  Wish my hair are not the same !!

Young at heart. Nice weekend !
