Eco printed scarf-vest

This eco printed silk scarf-vest, I call it multi-styled scarf was originally printed for curtain purpose ordered by a US client but she quoted wrongly the size so I keep it and repurposed it.

一大幅絲質布料灑上片片尤加利葉，百里香果葉及滿滿的自己栽種小黃菊，金黃色系主調的純天然植物印染布料，簡單剪裁成為一欵多穿搭簡約衣飾，可上下倒穿成背心，隨意被搭圍巾，簡單而慢活製作，送給喜愛我天然手工創作的朋友們當知我心意。

Formerly printed two yardages mainly with eucalyptus and passion fruit leaves..

It’s the layout for curtains.

Design mainly of eucalyptus, simply less is more.

When my client regretted for the size she quoted, I’m fine not to charge for the cancellation but I do not want to make another one. Indeed I do not enjoy custom orders as it’s quite a pressure to meet others' expectation. I just like to sell “what you see what you get “ or the techniques of printing. So I added more of own grown yellow daisy to make  the rich prints and modified to another function.

Just cut arm holes and round corners and sewed. Simply an easy scarf-vest made.

The fresh yellow tone with more alum mordant yellow flowers.

A vest upside-down or in & out, or wrap around scarf all in one piece.

The two pieces yardages made into two garments, each as gift for two good friends whom we known for ages since childhood.

Two-hole piece multi-styled wearable 簡易百搭被肩背心

 Following my last post of a two-armhole scarf, I'm really into the simple making with nuno felt and made a few.

A flat sheet of fabric with little wool fleece......

天氣漸涼, 絲巾加點羊毛, 不太 "沉重", 開兩個洞成為百搭被肩背心, 這幾件是近日的製作, 不同布料的效果, 都是輕巧飄逸.

 I turned it into a vest of styles - bottom with texture raw fleece

 Turn it upside down, a collar with wool

 The bottom of the back with wool fleece, the front is a soft draping

 This is not my design.  There're many styles of two-hole scarf wearable but it just hit my bell to do the nuno felt, simply without thread or needle and warm in the cool days.

For the sample of this style I used the ready made viscose long scarf. (38" x 72")  I cut off the corners to make it round, cut the arm holes then sealed with merino wool, the bottom part laid some Teeswater fleece and merino wool, all the round edge sealed with wool.  That's it.

I've made a few pieces with different patterns as giveaways for good friends.

 This black & white of branches & birds.  Airy and light I like most.

 This gorgette silk I printed with euc and Lagerstroemia Indica (紫薇) collected in my area

                       I also made it into a nuno felt scarf / vest

 

Well, these are the simple nuno felt wearable recently made. Still keen on experimenting different eco prints 

With the scraps cut from the scarfs, I played with textural surface and 3D making.  This object just done. Mogi is very curious about it.  What's it? Stay tuned, will post details next.

Overjoyed rose petal prints 玫瑰玫瑰我愛你

 

Nice good day !

These days really overjoyed with rose, not only the rose leaves delight me as usual, the petals are surprisingly with color and outlines with my way of printing.
