Nuno felt eco printed blouse - 羊毛混纖襯衣

 This eco printed blouse is simply made with nuno felt on shoulders and neck.

 I first done the prints on a silk fabric with leaves of sumac, mandarin and euc but I was too bored with outcome.

 Found it no harm to dye in logwood pot with little bit iron

 This image is the "Before and After".  The right pic is dark shade after logwood dyed.

 Well, not quite good but an experiment. I simply made it two-folded and done with nuno felt on shoulders and extended the "turtle neck"  with wool.  The waist lines are hand stitched.

 In two hours Mogi kept my company......

 Intended to make the neck styles "fold-in" or "fold-out", just insert the collar inside to make the neckline.

Souvenir for a special one 給好友的紀念品

 

These years I seldom buy souvenirs abroad for my friends but making something for my good friends on special occasions instead.

 Last year when I was in Israel for Irit Dulman's workshop I printed a few pieces with local plants. One of it was a light knitted silk jersey. The plants used were casaurina, oak, rose leaves and eucalyptus.

 In Israel we collected eucalyptus leaves in the park for the workshop with Irit

Rather than just a scarf, recently I made it into a simple tunic

Folded in two, sewed the shoulders and sides. 

 

Voila, a simple tunic -  I call it "Silver Grey".

                 Last time when I've a chat with my good friend Amy.

 we talked about eco prints.  I  said I was so addicted to experiments but pity that in Hong Kong not all my friends like the "muddy or imperfect prints".  I asked Amy if I made something for her if she would wear, she said she would.

So this piece is special for my friend Amy.

I keen on experiments of eco print & dye. This is only a few of my stuff.   What to do with these?  For scarfs are too much though  some will be used for nuno felt garments base.  Well let me make a simple blouse ........ 

這些 日子實在做了很多植物印染絲料試驗,  這是一小量而已, 有些會是 nuno felt 衣物的材料, 其餘祗作絲巾又太多了, 因此我以有限度的技巧做了一件簡約襯衣.

 

With two iron water dyed strips and the main part of various wild leaves prints, I just sewed together along waist with top open neck .

 

Prints dipped in iron water and each isolated, thus prints clear.
