Workshop of boots and bags making in Cyprus

My boots and bags making workshop in Cyprus completed perfectly. Can't believe the boots I could make with the soft wool from the very beginning to the end of a very firm and sturdy boots all from my hands.

We used the wool batt with wet felt skills to make the boots.

The boots are with inner sole boxes to protect heels Then to glue and stitch the sole. Thus the pairs are very comfortable and durable.

We made in a spacious hotel, the final touch in a pleasant bar by the pool. We chatted, we laughed. All done, not only boots but bags to make it a unique set in four days.

I finished mine and was so eager to take it to the 5-min walk beach for shots in the early morning.

So proud I made a pair of boots and TWO bags! I just love the special way of making the bags and the textures all done in one piece with handle.

Other students' works are brilliant. They made the high boots, the bags with metal frame, chic and stylish.  See .....they're the high street boutique displays!

I'm very very delighted in the coming winter I can walk with my handmade boots.

At the moment I left my foot print in the Mediterranean Sea, the Limossol beach, Cyprus - the country I love......

Time to say goodbye to the wonderful ladies from Norway, South Africa, Luxembourg and myself from Hong Kong.  Without the brilliant teacher Natalya Brashovetska and organiser Dorie van Dijk I couldn't have made the beautiful boots and bags with such special technique.

Special thank you to Natalya - my host, my teacher and my friend now. I have a great holiday and learning from her.

Holiday in the Mediteranean is going on..........Taking off from Cyprus and arrived in Israel.

Warmly received in my mentor Irit Dulman's house. She's a gorgeous artist I learnt from her the Eco printing and nuno felt before.
Irit's works are amazing. I'm honoured we'll spend some time again in her house, with the sweet cat Lucas who can play music by hitting his metal bowl. Don't know how to post the video here but on my Facebook friends can view.

Lovely Lucas likes to rest on his favour chair, the match prints of colour tone!

Fashion making in Holland 荷蘭之時裝實習

The two pieces of textural garments in different styles I  just made.

My fashion making workshop last week in Holland was inspiring. The two pieces of wearable learnt from Tatiana Sheverda will be another textural garments in my wardrobe.

After the workshop held in Dorie van Dijk 's  Atelier Fiberfusing in the beautiful countryside, I'm back with lots in my plate.
When I first received workshop info from Atelier Fibrefusing, almost impressed with the unique fashion designs of Tatiana, especially the textures.  That's why I flown from Hong Kong to Holland for the workshop.
The elegant coat is gorgeous - color, design and textures I love most.  It's all handmade with each stitch.
The 3-day workshop started with Tatiana's intro of textures, draping, fashion basic design and pattern making........
Each day served with healthy farmers' lunch. Love the Dutch cheese which gives lots of energy!
Before coming, we're told to bring large prefelt to work for the design.
These two big pieces I made before the trip. The grey one with cotton gauze base and merino.
This brown one with my own ecodyed chiffon base.

I was working on the surface design with the grey prefelt.
The pebble stones from the ground were the tools for my design.
After treatment it's air drying

During the days, I finished the two pieces of reversible garments under the guidance of Tatiana.
Below images show the two different textures and styles.

One side of wool and the other with cotton gauze.
Same for this, the left one with chiffon on the textural surface while the other of wool.

 Draping of two textural surface

Reversible with different textures

I just love my own textural and reversible of vests

In the class, other students made different coats and dresses. Atelier Fiberfusing has more images to show.   Each of own style and color.  I like all of them.

Tatiana also helped us a tailor made garment block. I have the jacket / coat temple  to bring home.

I'm home now and eager to make the prefelt and textures of the "lavender theme".  They're ready to go into a jacket with my own block!

Thank you Tatiana, you're brilliant ! You laughs, cheerful character and patience made us a pleasant class and the techniques I will apply on garment and other wool felt art pieces.

Goodbye the beautiful Netherlands 別了花之國度 - 荷蘭

After feeding myself in the cozy farm house Boerderij Bouwlust, I grasped the last morning in the beautiful farm surrounding. What a sunny and warm Monday holiday. It's King's Day - Dutch Royal is always respected and welcome. A day to celebrate by all means.
I followed Marie-Jose and the baby sheep....
to feed the cute one....
I strolled along the river bank from one side to the other. Wherever I'm travelling in Europe, churches in a town or village are always my direction to find the location. Here in Nes aan de Amstel, the countryside only 20km from the airport is where my master class of fashion and my farmhouse B&B located. My last stop in Holland is fruitful with the techniques I learnt, the design of Tatiana Sheverda is brilliant. She's amazing and well managed to teach us all personal projects. Her cheerful character made us so pleasant. Dorie van Dijk's Atelier Fibrefusing is such a spacious and well equipped studio for learning. With all day filled breverage, cakes and yummy farmer lunch....... we all immersed in the environment.  My projects done in three days.  This is the first piece.
A final touch up
Tatiana helped my fitting
All done ! The trendy, unique and textural vest of my design under the guidance of Tatiana.
It is two-sided
Since it's mainly done with local pebbles I also fixed it with pebbles picked on the ground for the buttons. A good keepsake of my learning here.

My final leg in Holland is such a fruitful trip with friendship, techniques and impressive views.
I'm heading home........my family and my Mogi are expecting me.....
Goodbye Amsterdam......
Goodbye the little furry ones....
Goodby the mama-to-be.....  She's expecting delivery in a few days.  May be next time I'm here to see the big furry family again........
