Recently I participated in a Sunday open market in Discovery Bay where I had lived for a while. I seldom do market sales but just like the ambiance of the island neighborhood of mixed cultural community. In the market I mainly sold my abundant fibre works done over the past decade. Can't imagine I have made so many items from wool felt to botanical printing. It's a great experience on a sunny cool day to showcase my creations and chatting with people who are interested or new in such fibre arts. It's a wonderful opportunity to mingle with people and share ideas. What made me happy is to know customers and stay connected and even place order afterwards.

週日市集展賣，我很少做市場銷售，但就是喜歡此島嶼生活氛圍。在市集我主要銷售過去十多年積下來的纖維創作。 原來我閒著做了這麼多東西，從羊毛氈到植物印染手作。在陽光明媚愜意中展示我的作品及與纖維藝術愛好者聊天多樂趣，也是交流和分享創作的好機會。讓我高興的是認識顧客並保持聯繫，甚至還下單訂製。
This is one of the orders I made right after the market for a charming customer. A dress printed with assorted plants from the wild and my own grown. From front to back and neckline as well arm holes the fabrics were of natural botanical prints and dyes.
這是其中一款長裙，顧客在市集完結後我特別為她製作的，布料全件都是植物印染，領圍袖口的色澤也是天然手工染料。

On the market day I'm blessed to have two lovely girls, my niece and my daughter to man the booth.
Joining market is kind of experience and chances to create and interact as well to get inspired.
