Back to wool felt table again. Bunch of students coming for nuno felt scarf making. These are their works done in a Saturday afternoon with lots efforts.

So they are warm with their own wraps and I'm with Mogi - my fluffy ball is warm enough

 

Besides wool felt scarf I taught them to make use of the olive soap bars.  Made it a wool felt soap for bathing or just for decoration is pretty.

 

London trip 倫敦之行

 

After my days in Ireland, I back to London for the quiet stay with my very good friend Corrina.  I'm no more a tourist I just like to explore a little this time.  

離開愛爾蘭便回到倫敦，此行旨在與好友聚舊，倫敦於我已不什新鮮，隨意的騎行優遊及與小女孩做做小手工。

A good day to catch up with Elena in Kew Garden.  Elene is my friend we learnt in Spain last year for eco printing.  The variety of plants and leaves are very interesting to us.  We guessed which yell pigments which not.  Kew Garden is huge that we only saw part of it.  May be next time we can explore more. 

 

Staying in Corrina's house with her girl Tiffany was most happy.  I showed her to make wool felt flowers and nuno felt scarf as well eco prints of recycled packing paper.

 Corrina and I walked up the hill for the last glimpse of the village, taller and modern buildings are in the far end.

My leisure UK and Ireland travels ended.  

In a few days I am on road again to Canada for teaching.  I will have some friends reunion and interaction as well.  That will be an exceptional travel from Toronto to Vancouver.  Wish the weather do me kind.

Ruffle scarf wth botanical imprints 植物印染混纖圍巾

The day I sourced fabrics for the upcoming workshop with the NGO volunteers, I asked the shop owner to give me a scrap for testing.  As my practice I must do experiments before the workshop taking place just to make sure the fabric works.

 I  simply tested it with onion skins, euc and rose leaves.  It works.  The scrap is a small sample but I wanted to make it  a nice nuno felt ruffe scarf.
每一次我買新布料做植物移印染我都要做一小片實驗, 確保其可行性, 那天與志願機構準備課堂, 如是的做一小片, 然後以羊毛混薄纱做了一件波浪邊圍巾.

I just laid merino wool along the margin with little mulberry silk on both ends to have a bit lustrous.

I like olive oil bar soap and absorbable towel, just to rub the bar and squeeze water.  Olive oil soap is lubricating and not much soapsuds.  It works so well for me.

The tiny flower is onion imprints with nuno felt textural surface.

Recently I learnt the basic acrylic painting. Indeed I hope to do my multi-media creations colorful.  Flowers and cats painting are what I like most  Mogi is my model ........

Yup, finished. That's the silk chiffon for a nuno felt scarf.  I use acrylic as it will not "bleeding" and ever last.
48小時乾透後 不退色

After the paint dried in 48 hours,  I put the merino wool along the edges and fringes on other sides as well a little mulberry silk and  Wenslaydale wool for the textures.
放上羊毛 、亮麗蠶絲，  開始做羊毛混絲巾...

 After rubbing, rolling and slightly moving action, a scarf is done. 一輪搓揉後便成型

 He, who is a territorial occupant finds it his own !!
哈 ! 小子以為是他的 !! 好開心 哩 !

                              A scarf is a scarf for ladies, not for pets.

 Nuno felt scarf with little wool is ideal for all seasons.

 I painted it and made it from scratch.

 I learn from basic and needs practice. It's fun to paint.  That's me in the kindergarten stage......... 近日開始塗鴉, 小兒科的畫 .

 

At least he's the one appreciates it !!??
