Little things for a BIG day 大日子的點點心思

With the day closer, we're upswing for the BIG day. A ring cushion made by my girl.

Jas's wanted to make a ring cushion by herself on her day. I taught her to do the needle felt birds.

Then wet felt the cushion cover with some merino wool and mulberry silk. I helped her to do the stitches with cotton enclosed and embellished with glass beads. She done the needle felt roses. It looks sweet!I've already done a pair of wedding doll with nuno felt dresses.

Must be awesome on the limousine !

Next thing I've done is a shawl for myself to go with the gown. A day before I made this nuno felt shawl.

Chiffon is the base, flowers are of chiffon and organza. Felted with merino wool and mulkberry silk. I stitched some small flowers then put on the chiffon to do the wet felt.
Front and back.

Texture close up.

Hope it goes well with my gown.

A touch of soft and a touch of love - doing something with own hands !
